Scioto Ridge United Methodist Church (SRUMC):
The Sudan Clinic is a mission project of Scioto Ridge United Methodist Church. (www.srumc.org ) The clinic aligns with the purpose and strategy of the church:   “To empower all God's people to fulfill their call as servants of Christ.” and “To Love God, we will seek the un-churched, nurture disciples, and transform the world”.  Several members of the church serve on the steering committee. The non-profit status of the church, (501 (c) (3)), allows contributions made to the clinic to be tax deductable.

Steering Committee:
In May of 2009, a steering committee began meeting to help Jok and Bol realize their dream of providing additional medical services in their village in Southern Sudan.  The committee is composed of members and non-members of Scioto Ridge United Methodist Church. Members of the committee include medical doctors, teachers, businessmen, and people working in finance and refugee services.

  • Need a speaker for a program?

Jok Dau and/or Bol Aweng or members of the steering committee are available to present a program to school classes, church groups, community organizations or service clubs.  Programs are tailored to each group and can include a video, a power-point presentation or a speaker.  Programs can focus on:

    • The story of the Lost Boys of Sudan
    • The current social and political situation in Sudan
    • The need for more medical services in Southern Sudan

E-mail us at:
info@sudanclinic.org for more information or to schedule a speaker.
